DIY Stacked Tassel With Loome Tool

I always love to have something fun on my bag or on my keys.  I bought a Loome tool a few years ago and I love everything you can make with them. They are seriously so versatile. One thing I love to make is their Wild Tassel and I love to stack them and put them everywhere! To start choose 3 colors that you think will look good together, follow these instructions and make a tassel.

Materials:

-Yarn: Any weight, but I do prefer thin, Omegacryl is the best

-Scissors

-Weaving Needle

Step One: First secure your top color yarn to the notch in the Loome tool.

Step Two: Next, begin wrapping the yarn around the tool. Continue wrapping until you feel like there is a  good amount of yarn for a fluffy tassel.

Step Three: Now, Take three strands of yarn  and cut about 12 inches each. Bring them through the center of the Loome tool, in between the two sides of the tassel.  Make sure they are even and pull to the side of the Loome tool, securing on the side.  Tie two very tight knots to keep the tassel together.

Step Four: Next, slide the tassel off the tool, making it look like a small nub!

Step Five: Now, find the middle of the tassel and cut in half creating a fluffy tassel! Trim the tassel to make it even all around.

*Repeat these steps two more times to create two more tassels. When you get to step three, use white string or another complimentary color.*

Step Six: Next, you will create the stacked tassel by connecting the three tassels. Find the center of the top tassel, where you tied your knot earlier. Using a weaving needle take the white (or complimentary color) yarn and weave it through the center crossing the pieces of yarn. Tie into double knot on both sides for more security.

*Repeat this step to attach the bottom tassel*

Step Seven: Trim the tassels to make sure they are all even. Fluff it up and hold from the top three strands of your top color. You can also braid them to make it look more fancy!
